Born in the underground clubs of Leningrad in 1981, KINO became the defining voice of Soviet rock — a band that smuggled freedom into every chord when freedom itself was contraband. Fronted by the magnetic Viktor Tsoi, they played to 62,000 at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium in 1990. Months later, Tsoi was gone. The music never stopped. "What Elvis Presley was to America, Tsoi was to Russia." Now, original members Yuri Kasparyan, Alexander Titov, and Igor Tikhomirov bring KINO back to the stage — accompanied by Tsoi's own voice, restored and digitized from original multi-track recordings.
